Position 1: Research Associate, Scientific Computation Research Center

Responsibilities:  Provide technical leadership on research and development 
in the area of automated finite element modeling.  Specific areas of expertise 
required include; 1) help direct and perform research on automatic finite 
element modeling techniques, including automatic mesh generation, 2) work 
directly with current and potential sponsors on definition of research projects, 
3) participate in proposal preparation, 4) develop and document software, 5) 
contribute to technical publications, 6) have a working knowledge of C and C++ 
programming languages, 7) have a working knowledge of geometric model 
representations, 8) have a working knowledge of object oriented programming 
techniques as they can be applied to numerical analysis and 9) be able to 
help in the operation of the SCOREC high-performance computer systems.

Qualifications:  Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science or Applied Math and 
experience in appropriate areas.

Position 2: Research Engineer/Scientist, Scientific Computation Research Center

Responsibilities:  Research and development in the area of automated finite
element modeling.  Specific areas of expertise required include; 1) perform
research and development in the area of automatic finite element mesh 
generation, 2) develop and document software, 3) contribute to technical 
publications, 4) have a working knowledge of C and C++ programming
languages, 5) have a working knowledge of geometric model represenations and 
6) have the knowledge and ability to help administer the SCOREC high-
performance Unix computer system.

Qualifications for Research Engineer/Scientist:  M.S. in Engineering or 
Computer Science and experience in appropriate areas.
