Examples of meshes generated by the grid-based mesh generator

The following pictures show examples of meshes generated for the static analysis of some mechanical parts with the help of the grid-based mesh generator. They are part of a collection of models that P. Beckers (LTAS, University of Liege, Belgium) has compiled in order to test mesh generators.

In the first mesh degenerated elements were removed at the cyclic convex edge, and the mesh has a fine structure there.

The second object has many concave edges, but due to the fact that they are parallel to one of the coordinate axes three elements are generated there. Thus the overall mesh quality is very good.

I am interested in testing my mesh generator. If you have examples, send me an email (robert.schneiders@arcor.de).
